As Miami Art Week 2025 officially opened earlier this month, The Temple House announced the debut of “The Art Peace,” a monumental new rooftop installation designed to serve as a beacon of unity, creativity, and global connection.

Positioned atop the iconic South Beach venue in Miami, Florida, “The Art Peace” stands as the largest permanently lit peace sign in the world, a striking circular sculpture illuminated by 12,787 lights and engineered to be visible from miles away — including from aircraft, drones, and satellite imaging. For the tens of thousands of visitors that arrived in Miami by air during the art week, the installation served as one of the first artistic expressions that greeted them as they descended into the city.

A global symbol reimagined for a modern skyline

Inspired by the enduring message behind the peace emblem created in 1958 by British artist Gerald Holtom for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, “The Art Peace” reinterprets the iconic symbol for today’s cultural landscape. Conceived by artists Daniel Davidson and Ariel Glassman, the installation uses light as both medium and message, transforming the Miami Beach skyline into a canvas for hope, harmony, and artistic reflection.

Launched amid Miami Art Week’s international spotlight

Debuting alongside one of the world’s most significant art gatherings — which draws more than 100,000 artists, collectors, curators, and cultural leaders — “The Art Peace” introduces a dramatic aerial dimension to the week’s already immersive landscape of contemporary art. Its visibility from above ensures that the installation becomes part of the broader artistic experience extending across the city and beyond.

Located in the heart of Miami Beach, The Temple House is an award-winning, world-renowned private event venue celebrated for its immersive projection-mapping capabilities, multimedia installations, and architecturally distinctive design. Through its innovative blend of art, technology, and environment, The Temple House continues to contribute to Miami’s position as a global leader in creative culture. (ACCESS Newswire)
